YOUR MISSION (The Job Description)

Virgin Hotels Las Vegas is searching for a Systems Analyst to join our team in the Information Technology department. We are looking for a highly efficient and knowledgeable professional with AS400, POS, and Gaming related systems. Must have Agilisys knowledge including LMS, Stratton Warren and InfoGenesis experience. The responsibility consists of monitoring and maintaining all casino and hotel applications; analyze system requirements and address any relevant problems; perform standard testing and provide solutions to ensure high levels of performance and security.

THE NITTY-GRITTY (The Essential Job Duties)
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise for business functions and configuration of application systems
  • Continuously build knowledge base of the property application suite
  • Provide technical training, guidance, and resource support for end users and departmental staff
  • Provide application support and enhancements to existing applications
  • Define system requirements, priorities, and viable alternatives
  • Coordinate efforts of staff to locate, assess, install, test, and maintain computer software systems
  • Coordinate conversions and upgrades to vendor systems
  • Assist in providing input for project/effort modeling and sizing of solutions
  • Develop functional and technical specifications to meet business requirements
  • Develop criteria for supporting developed business solutions
  • Develop solutions that include system development, process improvement, organizational change, technical and strategic planning, and policy development
  • Maintain consistent adherence to property guest service standards
  • Examine and evaluate current systems
  • Identify system requirements
  • Liaise with users to track additional requirements and features
  • Document interfaces between new and legacy systems

THE WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Must have ability to:

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment, and maintain physical stamina and mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines
