Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Director of Finance Shared Services to design, implement, and lead a high-performing Finance Shared Services Centre. This role will be responsible for establishing standardized processes, robust controls, service delivery frameworks, and performance metrics across core finance operations.

Reporting to the CFO, this individual plays an integral role in a fastgrowing organization that is actively evolving its shared services model to support ongoing expansion, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will build the shared services operating model from the ground up, recruit and develop the team, oversee systems and process transformation initiatives, support ERP implementation and ensure delivery of accurate, timely, and efficient finance services to the business.

This is an exciting opportunity for an adaptable and results-oriented professional to lead a major transformation initiative, establishing the foundations, processes, and capabilities that will support our future growth.

Primary Responsibilities:

Shared Services Strategy and Implementation

  • Design and implement the Finance Shared Services operating model.
  • Develop service delivery standards, governance structures, and escalation procedures.
  • Lead migration of finance activities from business units into the shared services environment.
  • Establish policies, standard operating procedures, and internal controls.
  • Drive continuous improvement, automation, and process standardization initiatives.

Service Delivery Management

Provide leadership and oversight across:

  • Accounts Payable; invoice processing, supplier master data, payment processing
  • Accounts Receivable; Customer billing, cash application, credit management
  • General Ledger and Close Activities; Journal entry, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounting
  • Consolidation & reporting, Onyx (Group consolidation tool) support
  • Financial Controls and Compliance; Internal control compliance, Audit support, policy adherence, risk management and control monitoring

Team Leadership

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing shared services organization.
  • Recruit managers and operational teams across finance service lines.
  • Establish performance objectives and service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Create a culture focused on customer service, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Process Improvement and Transformation

  • Identify automation opportunities across finance processes.
  • Support ERP implementation and optimization initiatives.
  • Implement workflow and digital solutions.
  • Drive productivity and cost-efficiency improvements.

Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with CFO, Controllers, Finance Directors, and business leaders.
  • Act as primary point of contact for shared service delivery performance.
  • Present operational metrics and improvement plans to senior leadership.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent preferred
