Job Description

The Senior Server Application Support Engineer is a critical role that provides the frontline support for server applications on all production, test, and development operating systems, as well as the corporate and public voice and data networks.  

Responsible for installing new software releases, database upgrades, and system upgrades. Evaluate and install patches.  

The Senior Server Application Support Engineer evaluates, tests, and recommends hardware and software to determine efficiency, reliability, and compatibility, makes recommendations for system improvements, and solves complex system performance problems.  

Responsible for coordinating complex tasks in a fast paced environment. 

The Senior Server Application Support Engineer must demonstrate competency in the areas of telephony networks, data networks, detailed server application administration such as, but not limited to, Active Directory, Linux, Microsoft Windows Server products, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint, BYOD management, detailed workstation administration, Internet services, Intranet services, computer center based data management, and logistical support. 

Identify areas of operations that need upgraded equipment, software and efficiency gain.  

Must have the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including executive positions.

This position requires the ability to implement large projects in an enterprise environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or Business - Required

10 years prior IT Technical Support experience - Required

3 years prior IT experience working in an enterprise environment - Required

2 years hands-on Active Directory enterprise level experience - Required
