Role Description
This individual will support the Sr. Manager of Legal Operations with data collection and analysis of the firmโs historical matter information, management reporting, and other duties as assigned. This role is also responsible for working cross-functionally to monitor matter investment against budgets for large scale clients. The position requires a high degree of flexibility and ability to identify and communicate priorities. The Sr. Legal Operations Analyst will assist the Sr. Manager of Legal Operationโs support of the firmโs matter management and budgeting tools.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a law firm, or corporate legal department is required
- Proficiency with Excel and other data analysis tools required; experience with legal billing, matter management, or ERP systems is a plus.
- Foundational knowledge of finance and accounting to assist with budgeting, pricing, billing analysis, and matter profitability reporting.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for legal and business operations.
- Excellent communication skills to present findings clearly, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support stakeholders at all levels.
- Customer service mindset to support attorneys, staff, and clients with responsiveness, professionalism, and solution-focused follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
