Join American Commercial Barge Line (ACBL) as a Senior Financial Planning Analyst where you will assist with financial planning, forecasting and annual budgeting processes and be responsible for providing monthly financial variance analysis reporting including customer and commodity level revenue analysis, boat and barge expense analysis, trended revenue and expense analysis, and other reporting as assigned. You will also support regular forecasting effort and assist in development of a grounded and challenging annual operating plan.

What you will be doing... Your IMPACT
  • Assist with monthly financial analysis comparing with plan, prior year and forecast.
  • Assist in the development of a grounded and challenging annual operating plan.
  • Prepare regular rolling forecasts and perform trend analysis.
  • Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for stakeholders.
  • Analyze historical financial data to develop annual budgets for assigned business units.
  • Mentor other Team Members and assist with norming them to ACBL Financial Planning best practices.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for...You will need to have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
Even better if you have:

5+ years of financial and data analysis experience is preferred.

Demands:
  • Strong data-oriented experience in data mining and FP&A/strategic planning.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office software.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills and proficiency in modeling.
  • Good Attention to detail and focus on deliverable/analysis quality and accuracy.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to effectively manage/execute multiple simultaneous tasks with urgency.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
