Summary:

We're seeking an experienced Payroll & Benefits Specialist to support critical payroll tax initiatives, open enrollment activities, and day-to-day payroll administration. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong ADP Workforce Now expertise who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex payroll and compliance challenges.

 

Responsibilities:

Payroll Compliance

  • Assist with the configuration of a payroll tax Third-Party Administrator (TPA) within ADP Workforce Now.
  • Ensure payroll tax jurisdictions, withholding rates, and filing requirements are accurately established and maintained.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the payroll team, ADP, the TPA, and federal, state, and local tax agencies.
  • Resolve payroll tax notices, registration issues, and filing discrepancies through proactive communication with government agencies.
  • Partner with ADP to facilitate new state and local payroll tax registrations as business needs arise.
  • Monitor and respond to agency correspondence, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding items.
  • Perform detailed payroll audits to identify errors, compliance risks, and reconciliation issues.
  • Document findings, recommend solutions, and support the implementation of corrective actions.

Open Enrollment & Benefits Administration

  • Assist with the planning and execution of the annual open enrollment process.
  • Configure benefit plans and support employee enrollments within ADP Workforce Now.
  • Investigate and resolve enrollment discrepancies while providing timely support to employees throughout the enrollment period.

Payroll & HR Support

  • Contribute to payroll, benefits, and HR-related projects as needed.
  • Maintain organized records of payroll processes, audit documentation, and compliance correspondence.
  • Help improve payroll accuracy, efficiency, and overall operational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of payroll and/or benefits administration experience.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now (WFN).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and data reconciliation.
  • Understanding of payroll tax compliance and experience working with third-party payroll tax administrators.
  • General understanding of multi-state payroll tax registration, reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting open enrollment and employee benefits administration a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Experience performing payroll audits and reconciliations.
  • Experience interacting with internal stakeholders
