The Strategic Sales Development Manager is responsible for driving pipeline strategy and execution across strategic enterprise and mid-market accounts. This role leads a team of Sales Development Representatives responsible for generating qualified pipeline through outbound prospecting, account-based engagement, and inbound lead qualification. The Strategic Sales Development Manager establishes team strategy, operating rhythms, and performance standards to consistently deliver pipeline aligned with revenue objectives.
Serving as a subject matter expert in sales development strategy and execution, this role coaches team members on advanced prospecting methodologies, qualification frameworks, and buyer engagement strategies while partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Operations, and Product Marketing. The Strategic Sales Development Manager stays ahead of evolving sales technologies, AI-enabled prospecting approaches, deliverability best practices, and omni-channel engagement strategies to continuously improve pipeline generation effectiveness and scale team performance.Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Hire, coach, and lead a team of Sales Development Representatives responsible for generating qualified pipeline across enterprise and mid-market accounts through outbound prospecting, account-based engagement, and inbound lead qualification
  • Establish team goals, operating rhythms, performance expectations, and accountability frameworks aligned with strategic revenue objectives
  • Partner with Account Executives, Sales Leadership, Marketing, and Revenue Operations to align targeting, messaging, territory strategies, and pipeline generation initiatives
  • Establish and optimize comprehensive prospecting strategies for enterprise accounts by evaluating customer needs, technology footprint and competitive positioning
  • Develop and refine engagement models that align outreach across multiple stakeholders at prospect organizations with complex buying committees
  • Coach SDRs on advanced prospecting methodologies, qualification frameworks, objection handling, enterprise messaging, and effective buyer engagement strategies
  • Analyze pipeline performance, activity metrics, and account engagement data to identify opportunities for improvement, inform team strategy, and provide visibility into pipeline health
  • Evaluate and implement new tools, processes, and methodologies that improve SDR productivity, pipeline generation, and scalability
  • Stay current on emerging sales development technologies and best practices, including AI-enabled prospecting
  • Consistently achieve or exceed pipeline generation targets while developing a high-performing sales development organization

Recommended Experience & Education
Minimum Years of Experience
10+ years of experience in sales development, business development, or revenue generation roles within SaaS, fintech, or technology environments, including 5+ years managing sales development teams with direct accountability for pipeline generation and revenue outcomes.
Education Level
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience

  • Demonstrated success leading and developing Sales Development Representatives responsible for generating qualified pipeline across enterprise and mid-market accounts
  • Deep understanding of enterprise SaaS sales cycles, complex buying committees, and strategic account engagement models
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate pipeline performance, conversion trends, activity metrics, and market signals to drive decision-making
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and partner effectively with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations teams to improve go-to-market execution
  • Expert-level proficiency with CRM, sales engagement, data intelligence, and prospecting technology platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and implement modern sales development technologies, including AI-enabled prospecting workflows
  • Strong understanding of email deliverability best practices, domain warming strategies, and scalable outbound engagement practices
  • Ability to operate with significant autonomy and determine methods for achieving team objectives

  • Experience in banking technology or regulated financial services markets
  • Experience supporting multiple business lines, product offerings, or market segments within a complex technology organization
  • Experience managing distributed or remote sales development teams across multiple locations and time zones
  • Experience operating within a growth-stage technology company balancing scalable processes with evolving go-to-market strategies
The salary range for this position is: $100,000 - $130,000 + Commissions
