Job description

Sales Operations Assistant

The Sales Operations Assistant will support a Sales Executive and work cross-functionally with shipping, production and other areas. The person in this role should have strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to problem-solve and take initiative when needed. Project management is a key aspect of this role, with a focus on creating and maintaining accurate spreadsheets that will serve as a critical resource for the team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Entering sales orders and following up with shipping.
  • Providing spreadsheet updates to Account Executive weekly of status of open orders / reporting.
  • Receiving Top-Of-Production samples from production and sending to retailer.
  • Working with production to make sure delivery times are met.
  • Handling any sales-related questions, issues or changes between the account executive, production and factory.
  • Working with shipping department to make sure delivery is on time and all routing/packing, sorting is done per retailer instruction.
  • Evaluating sell-through reports and working with Sales Team to manage retailer business, open to buy, markdowns, replenishment, and flow

Managing available-to-sell lists and inventory.

  • Pull samples for customer from the showroom.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, including setting up samples, gathering presentation materials and ensuring the showroom is organized.
  • Other business-related tasks as assigned.

Skills and competencies required:

  • Intermediate MS Excel skills - must be able to do Pivot Tables, V-lookups, etc.
  • Experience working with a major retailer portal such as Walmart Retail Link, Kohls DSCO, JCP Commerce Hub, etc.
  • Experience using a large ERP system such as A2000 or Infor M3
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Highly organized, dedicated and process-driven team player with heavy attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment, prioritize workload successfully and execute projects with fast-turnaround, under budget, ahead of tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in Excel with a high volume of data
  • High energy level and a passion for your work and the overall business
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to be flexible for business needs

Salary: The anticipated base salary is $65k - $75k annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, internal equity, and location.
