Job description

Creative & Studio Project Manager – On-site

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and optimizing the production of creative assets across WeatherTech’s in‑house creative department and production studio. The role ensures that all deliverables are properly scoped, resourced, scheduled and executed to meet the needs of multiple internal and external partners.

This person serves as the operational backbone of a busy creative organization —balancing priorities, working with Creative and Studio managers to optimize team capacity, and ensuring projects move from request to delivery with clarity, predictability and efficiency.

This is an on-site position in our Bolingbrook, IL facility.

Responsibilities

  • Review incoming requests for completeness, accuracy and alignment with business goals
  • Partner with Marketing, e-Commerce, Sales & Product Development stakeholders to clarify project needs and manage expectations
  • Identify incomplete or unclear briefs/request forms and work with stakeholders to gather missing information
  • Create, maintain and optimize the production schedule for design, copy, photography, video and post‑production
  • Build and manage timelines with clear milestones, handoff points and sequencing across creative, studio and cross‑functional teams
  • Ensure each group has sufficient time to complete their portion of the assignment without compromising quality or deadlines
  • Facilitate communication between creative teams and internal clients to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle
  • Track progress against weekly and monthly production targets, ensuring the team stays on pace
  • Monitor creative and studio output against quantified goals, including volume, velocity and on‑time delivery benchmarks
  • Measure performance against KPIs such as asset volume, turnaround time, on‑time delivery rate and resource utilization
  • Develop and maintain dashboards or reports that track creative and production output across all teams
  • Identify workflow bottlenecks, flag risks and implement solutions to keep deliverables moving efficiently
  • Implement and refine production processes, tools and workflows to increase efficiency and throughput
  • Develop predictable, repeatable timelines that ensure smooth sequencing between teams and prevent last‑minute crunches
  • Drive continuous improvement in how creative and studio teams collaborate and deliver work. Foster a positive, organized, and solutions‑oriented team culture
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in creative production management, agency operations or studio management
  • PMP certification required
  • Strong understanding of marketing workflows, creative briefs and campaign development
  • Experience managing cross‑functional creative teams and high‑volume production environments
  • Excellent organizational, communication and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and maintain calm under pressure
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana, Jira, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project and Gantt-chart based planning
  • Understanding of photography, video production and post‑production processes
  • Experience supporting new product launches a plus
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
