We're seeking an experienced Associate Vice President, Creative Studio to lead enterprise creative strategy and help shape how our brand connects with consumers, patients, teammates, and communities.

As a key creative leader, you'll play a critical role in advancing high-impact brand storytelling, leading a multidisciplinary creative team, and ensuring innovative, digitally focused creative work is delivered across channels with excellence, consistency, and brand integrity.

About This Opportunity

This opportunity offers the chance to lead and evolve an in-house creative studio responsible for developing compelling creative from strategy and concept through completion. The Associate Vice President, Creative Studio will guide creative execution across print, digital, social, video, audio, experiential, and emerging platforms while partnering closely with marketing, digital, operations, legal, executive leaders, external agencies, and other strategic partners.

This leader will help define and socialize the organization's unique value proposition, brand positioning, and differentiation while ensuring creative strategies are grounded in customer insights, market trends, and changing consumer expectations. The role also includes advancing the use of AI-powered tools and Generative AI to enhance design, content creation, image/video editing, project management, brainstorming, rapid prototyping, and creative production.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and articulate a comprehensive creative strategy aligned with organizational goals, marketing priorities, and brand strategy.
  • Define and communicate the brand's unique value proposition, positioning, and differentiation to target audiences.
  • Lead creative strategies informed by customer insights, audience needs, market trends, and industry dynamics.
  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize AI-powered tools for design, content creation, image/video editing, and project management.
  • Develop, direct, and produce creative assets from strategy and concept through completion across print, digital, social, video, audio, experiential, and emerging platforms.
  • Manage highly visible and complex creative projects that impact the business and span multiple teams, platforms, or stakeholder groups.
  • Forecast resource needs, drive project schedules, prioritize work, and communicate trade-offs when timelines or deliverables are at risk.
  • Review creative output from internal partners, agencies, production companies, and vendors to ensure high standards of creativity, innovation, quality, and brand association.
  • Supervise and develop the content team, ensuring alignment with brand strategy, messaging, and business objectives.
  • Manage content workflows, set clear expectations, monitor performance metrics, and provide constructive feedback to support professional growth.
  • Leverage AI-assisted writing and editing tools to scale content creation, including briefs, scripts, social copy, and other creative materials.
  • Oversee the use of Generative AI tools for brainstorming, rapid prototyping, and producing creative assets while maintaining quality, originality, and brand voice.
  • Collaborate with insights teams and agencies to identify market trends, consumer behaviors, and opportunities for differentiation.
  • Influence marketing and business leaders by translating consumer needs into creative strategies that positively impact marketing strategy and consumer experience.
  • Lead external agency and partner relationships, providing creative direction and ensuring work aligns with project expectations and brand standards.
  • Design and direct the work of assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Select, coach, develop, and inspire teams by setting objectives aligned with organizational strategy.
  • Manage talent through performance management, succession planning, development, recognition, feedback, and continuous performance improvement.
  • Develop and/or recommend operating and capital budgets and control expenditures within approved budget objectives.
  • Understand and adhere to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and ensure supervised team members comply with applicable policies, regulations, and laws.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, design, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in creative services, an in-house agency, or advertising agency.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading large teams, budgets, and comprehensive creative strategies.
  • Proven ability to guide, mentor, and inspire diverse, multidisciplinary creative teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative, inclusive, innovative, and high-performing team culture.
  • Exceptional interpersonal influence skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across departments and with external partners.
  • Strong storytelling and persuasion abilities, with the ability to convey complex ideas and compelling narratives to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Robust strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and the conceptual ability to develop impactful campaigns.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and deep understanding of industry trends and the competitive landscape.
  • Deep curiosity and expertise in digital trends, social platforms, innovation, emerging technologies, and their application to creative decisions.
  • Superior project management skills, with a track record of managing multiple projects and resources, both internal and agency, simultaneously.
  • Proven success executing projects across all media formats and driving change across people, processes, and technology.
Preferred
  • Experience leading creative strategy within a large, complex, matrixed organization.
  • Experience building or evolving an in-house creative studio or creative services function.
  • Healthcare, consumer brand, agency, or enterprise marketing experience.
  • Experience implementing AI or Generative AI tools into creative workflows.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leaders.
