Job description

Now Brewing - creative director, Creative Studio! #tobeapartner
From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only celebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.
We're seeking an inspiring and strategic Creative Director (CD) for our in-house Creative Studio. The CD will lead internal teams and external agencies to bring the Starbucks brand to life across branding systems, individual creative assets, advertising campaigns, and digital-first creative experiences. The CD is a strong collaborator who can partner successfully with brand marketing, product, and digital teams to deliver integrated creative solutions across channels and platforms.
As a creative director, you will...
Set Creative Vision & Steer the Brand
• Steer a holistic creative vision that spans brand identity, design, & advertising
• Act as a steward of the Starbucks brand, ensuring consistency, quality, and creative excellence across all touchpoints
• Elevate design systems, visual language, and storytelling frameworks to support long-term brand building and near-term business needs
Lead Multi-disciplinary Creative Work
• Guide the development of integrated creative initiatives, from design systems to advertising campaigns and digital-first storytelling
• Provide creative direction across multiple disciplines, including graphic design, art direction, copy, video, animation, digital experiences, and emerging platforms
• Ensure all creative output is thoughtfully crafted, strategically grounded, and audience-centric
• Architect and deliver impactful presentations that clearly articulate creative strategy, design rationale, and holistic storytelling
Lead & Develop Teams
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of creative leaders and individual contributors across disciplines
• Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion, curiosity, and creative rigor within the Creative Studio
• Manage resourcing, priorities, and workflows to ensure teams are set up for success
We'd love to hear from people with:
• 10+ years progressive experience in advertising/design/marketing at an agency or in-house studio
• Bachelor's degree in advertising, design, fine arts or equivalent job-related experience
• A multi-faceted portfolio showcasing deep creative expertise across mediums and channels within advertising, social media, branding, product, packaging, etc.
• Strong storytelling skills across print, digital, and film/OLV
• A willingness to embrace challenges, exhibiting resilience and positivity when priorities shift and needs change. You think proactively about finding solutions, not overcoming roadblocks.
• Entrepreneurial, ambitious, and culturally aware. You always have a clear point of view and are a leader inside and outside the organization.
• Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
Please include a portfolio with your application
