Gen is a global company dedicated to powering Digital Freedom through its trusted consumer brands including Norton, Avast, LifeLock, MoneyLion and more. Our combined heritage is rooted in financial empowerment and cyber safety for the first digital generations, and today we deliver award-winning cybersecurity, online privacy, identity protection and financial wellness solutions to nearly 500 million users in more than 150 countries.
Together, we share a collective passion and vision to protect consumers and help them grow, manage and secure their digital and financial lives. We're always looking for smart, fearless and high-impact talent who see AI as a teammate - leveraging it to move faster and deliver meaningful results.
When you're part of Gen, you'll have the flexibility, tools and support to do your best work and grow your career - from flexible working options and time off to competitive pay, benefits and well-being programs.
At Gen, we are scrappy and relentlessly customer driven. We create room for healthy debate, experimentation and continuous learning, and we seek out people with different experiences, identities and ideas to join our team. You'll work with people who back each other, respect each other and understand that our differences are a competitive advantage.
If this sounds like you, we'd love you to be part of Gen.
About the Role:
We're looking for a highly skilled, senior-level brand designer to join our Brand & Creative Studio as an Associate Creative Director. This is a senior individual contributor role for someone with exceptional taste, deep craft, and the ability to move fluidly across brand systems, digital experiences, campaigns, social, content, and visual storytelling.
This person is not coming in to manage a team. They are coming in to make the work better.
You'll partner closely with creative leadership, brand, strategy, product, marketing, and cross-functional teams to bring ideas to life across a global portfolio of world-renowned brands. The ideal candidate is proactive, strategic, highly collaborative, and comfortable owning work from concept through execution. You should be able to think big, design beautifully, take feedback well, and push the work without ego.
What you'll do:
Create elevated, strategically grounded design across branding, campaigns, digital, social, presentations, content systems, and brand experiences.
Translate brand strategy into distinctive visual ideas, scalable systems, and polished creative executions.
Work as a senior hands-on designer across high-priority initiatives, moving between concept development, art direction, layout, typography, image-making, and final production.
Partner with creative directors, writers, strategists, marketers, and product teams to develop work that is both brand-building and business-relevant.
Help raise the quality bar across the studio through strong craft, thoughtful critique, and sharp creative judgment.
Use AI tools as part of the creative process - from exploration and ideation to image generation, editing, prototyping, production support, and workflow acceleration.
Bring a high level of visual taste to photography, illustration, motion, UI-inspired design, and campaign systems.
Stay close to emerging tools, design trends, platform behaviors, and AI-enabled creative workflows.
What you'll bring:
A portfolio that shows exceptional design craft, strong conceptual thinking, and work for prominent global brands or high-visibility clients.
Experience across brand identity, digital design, campaign systems, social, and integrated creative.
Strong art direction instincts, especially around photography, composition, typography, visual systems, and storytelling.
Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma. Ideally including components, plugins, auto layout, and scalable design systems.
Comfort using or learning AI tools as part of the creative process.
A sharp eye for detail and a high bar for quality from first concept to final file.
The ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and move work forward without waiting for step-by-step direction.
A collaborative, low-ego approach; someone who can give and receive feedback well.
Motion experience is a plus, especially After Effects or similar tools.
Who you are:
You're a true designer at the ACD level: strategic, polished, fast, curious, and deeply invested in the craft. You know how to make work feel premium, clear, and ownable. You can zoom out to understand the larger brand system, then zoom in on the typography, crop, spacing, and details that make the work sing.
You don't need to be the loudest person in the room. But you do need to bring a point of view, push the work, and make the team better through the quality of your thinking and execution.
About us:
Gen is a global leader in Cyber Safety and the company behind trusted consumer brands including Norton, Avast, LifeLock, and MoneyLion. Gen reaches approximately 500 million global users across 150+ countries, and Newsweek recognized Gen Digital among America's Greatest Workplaces for Women 2025 with a 4.5-star rating.
