About the role

We are looking for a highly organized, collaborative, and brand-driven Brand Governance Advisor to join our Creative Studio team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the consistent and effective application of the Intact and belairdirect brands across all touchpoints.

As a steward of our brand systems, this person will own and evolve our brand governance ecosystem including key messaging frameworks, brand guidelines, templates, and brand assets. Working cross-functionally with marketing, communications, creative, social media, content, and business teams, the Brand Governance Advisor helps ensure our brands remain consistent, scalable, and easy to activate across the organization.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of brand strategy, operations, collaboration, and creative enablement.

What you'll do here:

Brand Governance & Standards

  • Own and maintain the brand guidelines for both Intact and belairdirect, ensuring they remain current, actionable, and aligned with evolving business needs.
  • Manage and continuously update the enterprise key message hub to ensure messaging consistency across campaigns, channels, and audiences.
  • Support the evolution of brand governance processes, tools, and best practices across the organization.
  • Help ensure all brand expressions align with established visual identity, tone of voice, and messaging standards.

Brand Asset & Template Management

  • Partner cross-functionally to identify ongoing brand asset and template needs across teams.
  • Work closely with the Creative Studio to proactively develop scalable templates, toolkits, and reusable assets that improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Manage and organize assets within the brand portal, ensuring teams can easily access the latest approved materials.
  • Continuously optimize the usability, accessibility, and organization of brand resources and systems.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Enablement

  • Act as a key point of contact for brand governance questions and guidance across the organization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across marketing, communications, digital, social, and product teams to support brand alignment.
  • Facilitate brand training sessions and onboarding to educate teams on brand standards, messaging, and creative best practices.
  • Help teams understand what is "on brand" and provide thoughtful guidance that balances governance with business objectives.

Brand Review & Approvals

  • Support brand review and approval processes for creative and marketing materials across channels.
  • Provide recommendations and feedback to ensure assets align with brand standards and messaging frameworks.
  • Help maintain efficient workflows between stakeholders, agency partners, and the Creative Studio team.

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in brand management, brand governance, creative operations, or marketing communications.
  • Strong understanding of brand systems, messaging frameworks, and visual identity management.
  • Experience managing digital asset libraries, templates, or brand portals.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to educate and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborative mindset with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Experience working within a creative studio, in-house agency, or matrixed marketing organization is an asset.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
  • No Canadian work experience required, but must have authorization to work in Canada.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Teams across the organization can easily access and use up-to-date brand assets and messaging.
  • Brand consistency improves across channels and customer touchpoints.
  • Cross-functional teams feel empowered and educated on how to activate the brand effectively.
