Business Development Intern
Join Our Dynamic Team in Lexington, KY as a Business Development Intern in the Salesforce.com Ecosystem! As our Business Development Intern, you'll be working alongside our Sales team to learn and develop your Business Development skills and understand the Salesforce ecosystem. You'll play a pivotal role in our growth, using your unique skills to create meaningful relationships with clients and help them achieve their goals with Salesforce.
Our part-time, paid internship program is 8-12 weeks, depending on the term, and will provide you with the hard skills needed to be successful in the technology industry. You'll closely work alongside top industry leaders, shadowing real client calls and internal meetings, creating a team-focused case study based on real client scenarios, and of course, experiencing a fun and flexible team culture at one of the top Salesforce partners in the country. After successful completion of the program, you'll have gained hands-on Salesforce knowledge, communication and presentation skills, networking and career development, and much more!
Responsibilities
  • Support a world class outbound prospecting process by working alongside our Sales team via phone, email, LinkedIn, etc with the goal of finding qualified prospective Coastal customers.
  • Partner with Coastal Business Development Representatives & Client Advisors to support winning new business growing Coastal's market share.
  • Maintain accurate reporting and lead records in Salesforce
  • Schedule and shadow introductory calls, organize and take thorough notes on prospects
  • Use your exceptional communication skills to support various Business Development teams at Coastal
  • Build lasting relationships within the Salesforce community, staying ahead of trends and opportunities.
  • Keep up with technical updates in Salesforce, continuously enhancing your knowledge.
  • Embrace a consultative sales approach, focusing on solving client problems rather than just selling a product and develop your Business Development skills

Required Skills, Education and Experience
  • Interest in sales or sales development in SaaS tech or a high-growth environment
  • Junior or Senior majoring in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or Technology at a University in the Lexington area; Interns must be able to commute to our Lexington office location weekly
  • Engaging and compelling customer service skills - high cognitive empathy and ability to craft stories tailored to the customer
  • A dynamic individual with a passion for technology sales and winning
