Job description

Overview:

Wallenius Wilhelmsen is seeking  data-driven Commercial Performance & Analytics Manager to own the KPI frameworks, data modeling, demand forecasting, and performance insights for our Logistics and Supply Chain Solutions (SCS) product segments.

You will be responsible for developing commercial and sales performance analytics and decision support, which will support the leadership team in driving sales and commercial performance decisions. This includes defining and developing KPIs, identifying, modeling and visualizing the data required to track performance, creating robust analytical frameworks and developing inputs for cross-functional scenario and implications analysis.


The role will also lead the demand planning process for our Logistics product segment and will drive forecast accuracy, enable proactive capacity planning, and provide insights that influence commercial, operational, and financial outcomes.

*This is a hybrid role requiring on-site presence in our Parsippany, NJ headquarters (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).*


Job Description

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • KPI & Framework Development: Define and refine segment-specific KPIs aligned with our global commercial performance framework.

  • Data Modeling & Dashboards: Design, scale, and maintain data models and dashboards to ensure consistent performance tracking.

  • Commercial & Sales Analysis: Partner with Sales leadership and Business Units to analyze revenue, margins, pricing, and customer-level profitability. Transform data into "so-what" analysis.

  • Demand Forecasting: Build and optimize predictive demand models using historical data, market intelligence, and statistical tools to navigate market volatility.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Finance, Data teams, and Market teams to drive scenario planning and target-setting initiatives.


Job Requirements

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial performance management, sales analytics, revenue management, or a highly analytical business role.
  • Experience in B2B industries (Shipping, Logistics, Transportation, or similarly complex environments) is strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on proficiency with SQL, Python (or similar), Excel, and BI platforms (e.g., Power BI).
  • Proven track record of delivering end-to-end analytical solutions—from data structures and modeling principles to dashboard creation.
  • Ability to navigate complex, fragmented, or imperfect datasets to identify gaps, establish assumptions, and ensure data governance.
  • Deep understanding of revenue, margin, pricing, volume, and customer-level profitability/cost-to-serve mode 
  • Strong skills in scenario modeling, sensitivity analysis, and performance tracking to support commercial decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical data into clear, actionable business insights for stakeholders.
