Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as the Director of Retail. This is a US leadership role that is essential for accelerating the Virbac sales growth in this critical channel with a focus on strategic direction, operational excellence, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Bring the Virbac US Omni-Channel strategy to life across all key Retail customers through the development of Joint Business Plans and working closely with Brand & Digital teams to achieve affiliate strategic goals and objectives

  • Operational Excellence: Consistently deliver value by optimizing Retail performance, achieve aligned KPIs, product forecasting, and improve efficiency of Retail channel investments through continuous improvement methodologies

  • Financial Performance: Achieve both Retail channel top line sales & bottom line profitability targets. Work closely with Marketing team on retail media budgets and allocations by brand.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Be the face of the Virbac US Retail business with both external partners and key internal stakeholders including our Global teams by removing silos and working towards integrated efforts to drive broader organizational success

  • People Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring a growing Retail team by fostering a culture of professional development, empowerment, accountability and data driven decisions

QualificationsRequired
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

  • 10+ years of applicable experience in Marketing or Sales

  • 5+ years experience working with Retailers to develop Joint Business Plans

  • 3+ years of strategic people management with ability to foster collaboration

  • Demonstrated ability to build, motivate, and guide high-performing commercial teams

  • Significant experience in understanding consumer behavior and omnichannel strategies

  • Strong financial acumen including familiarity with P&L statements, budgeting, and expenses

  • 3+ years of experience developing and executing short and long-term marketing strategies

  • Excellent communication, and presentation skills with ability to influence others

  • Thriving in changing environments and managing diverse teams.

Preferred
  • MBA degree from an accredited college or university

  • Experience working in Animal Health and/or Consumer Products Goods (CPG) industry

  • Strong background in a combination of retail, digital, and brand marketing

  • Proven successful track record of working with Amazon and/or Walmart

Working Conditions

This position is based at our US headquarters located in Westlake, Texas in a hybrid working environment (in-office Tuesday - Thursday). Some travel (up to 25%) required to Retail customers, agency / distribution partners, industry conferences, and field ride-a-longs is expected.
