Soccer90 is seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Manager to lead its $2M+ multi-store retail and eCommerce soccer operation in partnership with FC Dallas. This full-time leadership role requires a strategic thinker and hands-on operator with proven retail expertise. The ideal candidate is a fan of soccer who excels in team development, inventory management, visual merchandising, and data-driven decision-making. TheF Retail Manager is responsible for driving overall business performance, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction across both physical and digital channels.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Oversee all daily retail operations, ensuring a clean, organized, and engaging store environment.
  • Monitor sales performance, KPIs, and retail trends to drive informed business strategies.
  • Develop and execute profitability plans, manage operational expenses, and ensure efficient store performance.
  • Lead inventory planning, purchasing, replenishment, and shrink control processes.
  • Implement visual merchandising strategies to highlight featured products, categories, and seasonal assortments.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and manage retail team members; provide regular coaching and performance feedback.
  • Foster a customer-first culture focused on delivering exceptional service.
  • Collaborate with marketing to support in-store and online promotions, events, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Prepare and analyze weekly/monthly sales reports, inventory turnover, margin data, and labor metrics.
  • Identify new product opportunities based on market trends and customer insights.
  • Manage scheduling and staffing in alignment with labor budgets and business demand.
  • Ensure consistent execution of store opening/closing procedures and key-holder duties.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, operational guidelines, and safety procedures.
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Oversee Soccer90.com operations including website merchandising and digital ad campaigns.
  • Stay current on soccer industry trends, key brands, product launches, and influencers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors to support merchandising and promotional needs.
  • Support order fulfillment and customer service for eCommerce operations.
  • Cultivate a positive, inclusive work culture that attracts and retains high-performing talent.
  • Other duties assigned by Sr. Leadership.

 Preferred Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of retail management/leadership experience with 3–5 direct reports.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development abilities.
  • Proficient in retail analytics, budgeting, forecasting, and retail math.
  • Experience with eCommerce platforms (Shopify preferred), Google Ads, and Google Merchant.
  • Skilled in visual merchandising and store presentation standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and events.
  • Experience with Lightspeed Retail-X POS and NetSuite a plus.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • 3-5 years of retail experience; soccer or sports retail experience strongly preferred.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and collaborative team player.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and assist with heavier loads as needed.
  • Ability to perform physical retail tasks including but not limited to stocking, organizing, and moving inventory.
