What You'll Do
As a Resident Aide, you'll help residents with their daily routines and contribute to their overall comfort, safety, and quality of life. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, shaving, dental hygiene, and hair and nail care
  • Helping with dining and other daily resident needs
  • Escorting residents and assisting with internal transportation
  • Completing resident room checks and rounds
  • Observing residents and reporting changes in physical, cognitive, or emotional status to nursing staff
  • Assisting with light housekeeping duties as needed
  • Supporting resident-centered activities and programs
  • Assisting with dining-related tasks
  • Recognizing and reporting safety hazards, incidents, errors, and accidents
  • Responding appropriately during emergency or disaster situations
  • Working collaboratively with nursing staff and other members of the care team
  • Protecting resident rights, privacy, and confidentiality
  • Helping create a positive environment that recognizes and respects each resident's individuality, life experiences, and wisdom

What We're Looking For
Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred:
  • Previous experience providing resident or personal care
  • Related training or experience in senior care
