Position: Workday Integration Technical Consultant (HR & Oracle Time and Labor)

Location: Remote

Duration: Long term contract

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Workday Integration Technical Consultant with strong expertise in Workday HCM, Workday Integrations, and integration experience involving Oracle Time and Labor (OTL). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting inbound and outbound integrations between Workday HR, Oracle Time & Labor, Payroll, and other enterprise systems.

This role requires deep technical knowledge of Workday integration technologies, HR business processes, workforce management, time tracking, and payroll-related data flows.

Key Responsibilities

Workday Integration Development

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Workday integrations using:
    • EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder)
    • Core Connectors
    • Studio Integrations
    • Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST APIs)
    • Workday Cloud Connect
    • Workday Extend (preferred)
  • Build inbound and outbound integrations between Workday and third-party applications.
  • Develop integration monitoring and error-handling processes.

HR & Workforce Management Integration

  • Integrate Workday HCM modules including:
    • Core HCM
    • Worker Data
    • Compensation
    • Benefits
    • Absence Management
    • Recruiting
    • Payroll Interfaces
  • Support employee lifecycle data integrations from hire to termination.

Oracle Time and Labor (OTL) Integration

  • Design and support integrations between Workday and Oracle Time & Labor (OTL).
  • Configure and maintain employee, assignment, timecard, labor distribution, and payroll-related interfaces.
  • Ensure accurate transfer of workforce and time-tracking data between systems.
  • Troubleshoot integration failures and data discrepancies.

Technical & Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with HR, Payroll, Timekeeping, and IT teams to gather requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical integration solutions.
  • Participate in design workshops and integration strategy discussions.
  • Create technical design documents and integration specifications.

Testing & Support

  • Develop unit, system, integration, and UAT test plans.
  • Support production deployments and post-production activities.
  • Monitor integration performance and resolve production issues.
  • Provide ongoing enhancement and support for existing integrations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, HRIS, or related field.
  • 5+ years of Workday Integration development experience.
  • Strong experience with:
    • Workday Studio
    • EIB
    • Core Connectors
    • Workday APIs (SOAP/REST)
    • XML, XSLT, JSON
    • Web Services
  • Experience integrating Workday with Oracle applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Time and Labor (OTL).
  • Strong understanding of HR, Timekeeping, and Payroll processes.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex integration issues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Workday Integration Certification.
  • Experience with Workday Extend.
  • Experience with Oracle HRMS and Oracle Payroll.
  • Knowledge of middleware platforms such as:
