Workday Technical Lead

Work Location is In Toronto, ON, CANADA (Remote 100%)

Role Overview

The offshore Workday Integration developer supports the design, development, testing, and maintenance of integrations within Workday, serving as a critical technical resource for the Workday project Team. This person will work closely with onshore leads and functional teams to deliver reliable and secure integrations across Workday HCM, Payroll, and Time Tracking modules. Operating within a collaborative offshore delivery model, the developer ensures seamless data exchange between Workday and third-party systems while maintaining data integrity and system performance. The position requires strong technical expertise in Workday integration tools.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze and understand end-to-end integration architectures, including upstream and downstream system dependencies.

Develop integrations across one or more workstreams, including planning, estimation, execution, testing, deployment, and post-production hypercare.

Strong understanding of both functional and technical aspects of workday implementation including (Workday HCM, Payroll, Time tracking Modules)

Prepare and maintain integration design documentation including architecture diagrams, mappings, and transformation logic.

Support knowledge transfer, operational handover to production support team.

Required Experience & Skills

Strong hands-on experience with Workday Studio , Core Connectors (CCW, CCB), and EIBs. Experience with REST and SOAP APIs and OAuth 2.0 security.

Expertise in advanced reporting and calculated fields supporting integrations.

Experience working with ADP, Payroll, and Census data integrations

Understanding of file-based, API-based, and event-driven integration patterns.
