Summary:

Redwire Space, Inc., is seeking an experienced Contract, Total Rewards Consultant for a period of up to 6 months, with the possibility of conversion. This position is considered remote with preferred availability for Eastern or Central Time working hours; occasional travel to Jacksonville, FL, Chantilly, VA, or other Redwire sites may be required to support enterprise-wide integration and transformation efforts ensuring competitiveness, alignment, scalability, and operational excellence across the enterprise. The contractor will play a key role in harmonizing compensation, benefits, and rewards programs across multiple legacy organizations, supporting the design and implementation of scalable processes, and helping build a futurestate Total Rewards function aligned with Redwire's strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
  • Support end-to-end integration of compensation, health & welfare, retirement, and related Total Rewards programs.
  • Assist in the design and rollout of Total Rewards transformation initiatives, including process redesign, program modernization, and technology enablement.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and benchmarking to inform compensation and benefits recommendations.
  • Develop and refine tools, templates, and documentation to support consistent and scalable Total Rewards operations.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders to support job mapping, offer review, and compensation guidance during transition periods.
  • Provide analytical support including modeling, pay structure updates, cost analysis, and scenario planning.
  • Assist in harmonizing health & welfare plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and supplemental programs, ensuring alignment with Redwire policies, compliance requirements, and cost structures.
  • Support brokers, carriers, and thirdparty administrators to implement plan updates, manage timelines, and ensure a smooth migration experience for employees.
  • Liaise with communications partner to develop process materials, FAQs, and manager guidance to support employees throughout compensation and benefits programs.
  • Support compliance and audit readiness across all integrated benefits programs, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and controlled industry requirements applicable to space/defense operations.
  • Provide project management support across multiple integration and transformation workstreams.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Ideal Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience in Total Rewards, Compensation, Benefits, HR Consulting, or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience supporting M&A integration, organizational transformation, or large-scale Total Rewards projects.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
  • Experience within aerospace, defense, engineering, or other hightech environments.
  • Prior experience designing or implementing job architecture frameworks.
  • Familiarity with incentive plan design and analysis.
  • Some occasional travel is required.
Desired Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and HRIS systems
  • Consulting or contracting background.
  • Ability to interpret and tell the story behind data in a clear, business-focused way.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
