Job description

Vice President of Total Rewards

The Vice President of Total Rewards will serve as the organization's leader in Compensation, Benefits, Leave Administration, Rewards & Recognition, and Wellness. The VP Total Rewards partners with senior leadership across CHSPSC to develop strategic plans for designing, implementing, and managing the organization's Total Rewards Program. This role will align rewards with business goals while ensuring the programs are competitive, compliant, and fiscally responsible while supporting the organization's ability to attract, retain, and motivate. The VP Total Rewards will perform ongoing analysis on the effectiveness and competitiveness of existing programs and provide recommendations to maintain a strong Total Rewards Program.

This position will be full time in office located in Franklin, TN.

Essential Functions
  • Designs, develops, and maintains a competitive and compelling Total Rewards strategy.
  • Assesses the effectiveness of programs and develops recommendations to align with business goals.
  • Conducts, compiles, and presents research and analysis to support the design of competitive Compensation and Benefits programs.
  • Provides effective communication and education on Total Rewards to company stakeholders and employees.
  • Develops and manages relationships with vendors to continuously drive service levels to the company and employees.
  • Partners with Finance, Payroll, and Recruiting to deliver Total Rewards programs.
  • Plans and develops company surveys to assess employee satisfaction and implements changes to maintain satisfaction.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for Compensation, Benefits, and Leave.
  • Maintains strong knowledge on Benefits and Compensation market trends and regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field required or
  • Master's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred
  • More than 10 years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits required
  • Experience designing and managing global total rewards programs in a complex organization. preferred

  • Demonstrates deep knowledge of compensation philosophy and designs pay strategies aligned with business goals and market competitiveness.
  • Designs and manages a comprehensive benefits portfolio that balances employee needs, market trends, and cost efficiency.
  • Applies strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and drive informed total rewards decisions.
  • Exhibits strong business acumen by aligning total rewards programs with organizational strategy and financial performance.
  • Utilizes financial modeling and workforce analytics to forecast costs, evaluate scenarios, and support strategic planning.
  • Designs and administers equity plans that support long-term incentives, retention, and shareholder value.
  • Leverages reward analytics to measure effectiveness, ensure pay equity, and continuously improve total rewards programs.
  • Develops and implements recognition strategies that enhance employee engagement, reinforce culture, and drive performance.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Certified Benefits Professional (CPB) preferred or
