Payroll Analyst
US Remote-- West Coast onlyPosition Summary

We're looking for a detail-oriented, collaborative Payroll Analyst to join our Payroll team. In this role, you'll help ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while partnering with managers, HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to support payroll operations, compliance, and continuous process improvement.

The Payroll Analyst is responsible for supporting the end-to-end payroll process for a large employee population. This role performs payroll processing activities, validates time and attendance data, conducts payroll audits, processes payroll adjustments, ensures compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local regulations, and contributes to projects that improve payroll efficiency and the employee experience.

The ideal candidate is analytical, customer-focused, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional accuracy and confidentiality.

What You'll Do
  • Validate and audit hourly employee timesheets prior to payroll processing.
  • Partner with managers and employees to resolve timekeeping discrepancies and ensure timely approvals.
  • Review payroll data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance before payroll processing.
  • Process payroll adjustments, earnings, deductions, and other payroll transactions.
  • Prepare and process final paychecks in accordance with applicable state, provincial, and local regulations.
  • Perform payroll audits to identify discrepancies and ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Research and resolve payroll-related issues in a timely manner while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Respond to payroll inquiries submitted through ServiceNow and other support channels.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, Benefits, Stock Administration, and other cross-functional teams to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Support payroll compliance activities, including internal controls, SOX requirements, and audit requests.
  • Assist with payroll reconciliations and reporting.
  • Participate in payroll system testing, upgrades, implementations, and special projects.
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve operational efficiency through technology and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Maintain payroll documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge articles.
  • Stay current on payroll legislation, company policies, and industry best practices.
QualificationsRequired
  • 2-4 years of payroll processing experience.
  • Experience working in a global or large multinational organization (10K+ employees) 
  • Experience processing multi-state payrolls.
  • Strong understanding of payroll principles, wage and hour requirements, and payroll compliance.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong people experience orientation.
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.preferred
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
  • Experience with Workday HCM
  • Experience with Dayforce Payroll and Dayforce Workforce Management
  • Experience using ServiceNow or similar case management platforms.
  • Experience supporting SOX controls and payroll audits
Technical Skills

Experience with one or more of the following:

  • Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)
