Assignment Type: Direct Hire

Pay (Pay on a tiered system based on tenure, experience, and alignment):

  • $38.50 - $47.00/hour ($80,080.00 - $97,760.00 annually)
  • $47.50 - $58.50/hour ($98,800.00 - $115,680.00 annually)

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Hybrid schedule: 4 days onsite, 1 remote day per week

Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to provide administrative and operational support to attorneys and legal professionals within a corporate legal practice. This individual will play a key role in managing complex scheduling, client communication, document preparation, billing support, travel coordination, and day-to-day legal administrative functions. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-moving environment, can manage competing priorities with professionalism, and enjoys being a dependable resource to attorneys and clients alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated support to attorneys and legal staff within a corporate/business practice
  • Manage complex calendars, coordinate meetings, and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts
  • Draft, revise, proofread, and format legal and business documents
  • Maintain electronic files and document management systems
  • Coordinate client intake materials, engagement documentation, and conflict-related paperwork
  • Process expense reports, invoices, reimbursements, and billing-related tasks
  • Enter and maintain attorney time records accurately and timely
  • Assist with prebill review and audit-related processes
  • Arrange domestic and international travel accommodations in alignment with company policies
  • Conduct legal and business research as requested
  • Support bar admissions, CLE tracking, and compliance-related administrative tasks
  • Coordinate large copy, mail, and messenger projects with internal service teams
  • Utilize CRM tools to assist with business development initiatives
  • Build strong working relationships with attorneys, clients, and support staff
  • Mentor and collaborate with administrative team members as needed
  • Participate in workflow improvement initiatives and technology enhancement projects

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of administrative experience directly supporting attorneys within a law firm or corporate legal environment
  • Experience supporting corporate, business, or transactional legal practices preferred
  • Background within a large, fast-paced law firm setting is highly preferred
  • Strong ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage highly detailed work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional, proactive, and client-focused approach
  • Ability to navigate and interpret legal procedures and terminology effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal support software platforms
  • Experience with document management, billing, CRM, and travel coordination tools preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or business college certificate preferred
