Job description

Bennett Aerospace Inc, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, has an opening for a highly motivated Excel Administrative Assistant position located in Detroit, Michigan.
The successful candidate will use his/her knowledge of applying analytic methodologies and principles to address program needs while maintaining program confidentiality. The Law Enforcement Administrative Assistant will perform a wide range of administrative, office and professional support activities, customer support services, data entry, research and analysis, and support to customer managers to facilitate the efficient operation of the organization. The Law Enforcement Administrative Assistant will perform other duties as assigned by the management team. Regular, predictable attendance is essential for satisfactory performance as is the ability to work with minimal direction and within a team environment. There is no telecommute option available for this position and an in-office presence is required for the work week.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Works independently.
  • Identifies potential problems and solutions through data analysis, reduction, and entry.
  • Provides technical and administrative guidance to group supervisors, program managers and other staff members.
  • Serves as a technical advisor on complex problems to other staff members; identifies potential problems and solutions through administrative expertise, data analysis, reduction, and entry.
  • Stimulates others through ideas and information.
  • Receive and direct visitors and clients, answers, screens and transfers inbound phone calls.
  • Opens, sorts and distributes incoming correspondence; coordinate outgoing mail and packages to be picked up.
  • Maintains office supply inventories, maintains hard copy and electronic filing system, scans documents into digital case files.
  • Maintains monthly motor vehicle files, maintains attendance reports; leave records, trip records and logs.
  • Corrects any discrepancies found in reports; prepares and modifies documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos, cables, and emails.
  • Prepares and maintains physical and electronic filing system, including motor vehicle reports, attendance reports, trip records, logs, etc.
  • Performs routine audits of databases and files; maintains database records by ensuring information is current and accurate; reconciles inconsistencies found in databases.
  • Assists personnel with timely and accurate submission of required reports; supports investigations and projects by researching and consolidating information from various data sources/systems.
  • Create spreadsheets, tracks databases, reports, and presentations, ensuring information is accurate. Supports projects by researching and consolidating information from various data sources/systems.
  • Utilize Excel Pivot Tables to summarize, analyze and perform statistical analysis of large data sets to identify patterns, trends and comparisons over set period of time.
  • Performs general administrative activities, as well as facilities/space management, customer support services, resource distribution, acquisition support, and human resources support.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
  • Must have a bachelor's degree
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and have past performance of successfully working with large datasets, creating formulas, utilizing Pivot Tables, conducting complex data analytics and creating data analysis visualization presentations.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as an analyst in related discipline.
  • Experience in law enforcement discipline is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint management and computer software programs.
  • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Knowledge of applying analytic methodologies and principles to address needs of programs.
  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Position requires strong analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to solve complex problems and work in a team environment.
