Examina is a national background checking, pre-employment screening firm located in Chicago, IL. We specialize in highly regulated industries which require extensive background investigations with excellence in quality. Examina is seeking the right individuals to join a stellar team, to continue to grow and offer the highest service to our valued customers. Making the best hiring decisions is an important process for our clients. Screening for individuals with violent criminal histories, or otherwise derogatory information, helps keep workplaces safe and secure. An ideal candidate will learn to be an effective teammate and demonstrate a high attention to detail as accuracy is a vital quality of our work. They will be able to review and process information in an objective manner and use personal skills to verify information and schedule additional tests as necessary.

Job Details & Responsibilities

  • High attention to detail to carefully conduct sensitive background screening searches
  • Highly trustworthy as sensitive information will be shared and carefully protected
  • Professionally be able to communicate with individuals to verify subject information - communication includes inbound and outbound calls, email and fax
  • Be able to multitask - maximize your time to gain information on multiple individuals
  • Use email and digital fax to capitalize on other forms of communication to verify subject information
  • Work within our proprietary IT software to process different 'elements' of a background investigation - a basic understanding of computer software will be enough
  • Maintain a respectful and professional work environment - we have a great team in place and seek to expand on that with the right people
  • Able to speak another language? Great! Being able to communicate with non-English speakers can be very helpful

Employment Opportunity

  • We offer flexible hours, but our normal office hours are 8am-5pm Monday-Friday. There are opportunities for hours outside of this window for personal reasons for life obligations. Potential to work remote or from home
  • You will have a 90-day trial period with opportunity for overtime during busier weeks
  • At the end of the 90-day period we plan a meeting to have a dialogue on your experiences so far, review your performance and discuss opportunities to grow within the company
  • At the end of the 90-day period you will be eligible for a raise, a promotion, PTO, and benefits
