Overnight Caregiver

Location: Pontiac, Illinois

Join our team as an Overnight Caregiver at Flawless Family Home Care, an award-winning Illinois licensed home services agency providing exceptional non-medical home care throughout Central Illinois.

About the Role:

We are seeking dependable Overnight Caregivers to provide one-on-one, non-medical care for seniors and adults with disabilities in Pontiac and nearby communities. As an Overnight Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing supervision and assistance to clients during the night, ensuring their safety and well-being while they sleep.

Available Schedule:

  • Full-time and part-time overnight schedules

  • Approximately 27–36 hours per week

  • Current shifts include 9:00 PM–6:00 AM

  • Consistent overnight availability required

  • Weekend overnight availability required during an assigned every-other-weekend rotation

  • Additional hours may be available based on caregiver availability and client needs

Responsibilities:

  • Remain awake and attentive throughout the entire overnight shift

  • Provide supervision and respond promptly when the client needs assistance

  • Assist with toileting, incontinence care, and personal hygiene

  • Assist with transfers, walking, and mobility

  • Help prevent unsafe, unassisted standing or walking

  • Assist with dressing, grooming, and other personal-care needs

  • Prepare light meals or snacks as directed by the service plan

  • Provide companionship, reassurance, and redirection

  • Complete light housekeeping and laundry when appropriate

  • Provide medication reminders

  • Observe and report changes in the client’s condition

  • Complete accurate visit documentation using the AxisCare mobile application

  • Follow each client’s individualized service plan and safety instructions

  • Communicate concerns, incidents, and schedule issues promptly to the office

Qualifications:

  • At least 18 years old

  • Dependable and able to maintain an agreed-upon overnight schedule

  • Able and willing to remain awake throughout the entire shift

  • Comfortable providing hands-on personal care

  • Available during an assigned every-other-weekend rotation

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Reliable transportation

  • Current automobile insurance

  • Willing to travel approximately 15–20 miles for client assignments

  • Smartphone with reliable internet access for scheduling and documentation

  • Able to complete required background screening, orientation, training, and competency requirements

  • Able to perform the position’s essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
