Summary
The Genesys Americas Integrated Marketing team is seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Manager, Events to lead the development and execution of a comprehensive events strategy across the Americas region.
This role is ideal for an events marketer who can think strategically and execute operationally. Someone who can design and scale a high-impact events program that drives demand, accelerates pipeline, and enhances customer and partner engagement, while also executing events in market. You will oversee a diverse portfolio of experiences including trade shows, third-party conferences, executive programs, Genesys hosted events, hospitality programs, and virtual experiences.
As the Americas Events lead, you will manage a team of event professionals and own the planning, execution, and performance of the regional events program, reporting to the Sr. Director, Americas Demand Generation. You will work closely with Field Marketing and Global Events to ensure programs are aligned to business priorities and delivered with excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and Execute the Americas Events Plan: Develop and execute a scalable, integrated events strategy that drives awareness, engagement, and pipeline across the Americas region, aligned to core business and marketing objectives.
  • Own the Regional Events Portfolio: Plan and execute a diverse mix of events including trade shows, third-party conferences, hosted events, executive programs, hospitality experiences, and virtual events/webinars, directly owning priority programs.
  • Develop Event Frameworks & Playbooks: Build and refine event playbooks, processes, and best practices to enable consistent, high-quality execution and scalability across the region.
  • Program Execution & Operational Excellence: Execute and support end-to-end event delivery, including strategy, planning, logistics, vendor management, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up, while ensuring high standards across all programs.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Manage, coach, and develop a team of two event professionals, providing clear direction, prioritization, and career development while fostering a high-performing, accountable team culture.
  • Budget Management & Investment Optimization: Manage the Americas events budget, including planning, tracking and reconciliation of spend
  • Performance Measurement & Optimization: Track and report on event performance including engagement, pipeline contribution, and ROI; apply insights to optimize future programs.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with Field Marketing, Global Events, and other stakeholders to align on program execution and support regional priorities.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Manage external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and high-quality event delivery.


Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
• 7+ years of B2B technology or software event marketing experience, with a proven track record of building and scaling event programs.
• Experience managing a wide range of events including trade shows, conferences, executive events, field events, and virtual experiences.
• Demonstrated ability to develop strategic event plans that drive demand generation and pipeline impact.
• Strong leadership and people management experience, with the ability to coach and develop team members.
• Deep expertise in event program management, including logistics, vendor management, budgeting, and execution.
• Data-driven mindset with experience measuring event performance, tracking ROI, and optimizing programs.
• Highly organized with strong program and project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with Salesforce, Asana, and event/marketing technology platforms preferred.
• Ability and willingness to travel (~35%) and support events on-site as needed.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Compensation:
This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.
$131,200.00 - $230,800.00
