Job description

Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee the purchasing department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the tactical aspects of purchasing while aligning with the strategic direction set by the Supply Chain department. They will ensure the timely, efficient, and cost-effective procurement of goods and services needed for the manufacture of high-end electronic equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Overall responsibility and management of the purchasing team, which may include training, mentoring, administering, and directing employees.
  • General oversight of purchasing processes including but not limited to vendor interaction, product selection, purchase order preparation, bid requesting and proposal review, negotiation of purchasing constraints, maintain computerized procurement reports, discussions with personnel on defective or unacceptable goods or services, and corrective action planning.
  • Analyze purchasing data and prepare reports to track key performance metrics, identify trends, and provide insights for decision-making. Drive change.
  • Foster collaboration internally and externally to drive continuous improvement in quality, delivery, cost and other strategies to optimize procurement process and supply chain efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors while monitoring market trends and identifying potential supply chain risks.
  • Serve as a resource cross functionally through supplier sourcing, qualification, evaluation, and diversification efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.
  • Complete Timesheets, Employee Performance Reviews, and Compensation Reviews.

Required Qualifications
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Purchasing Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of required degree.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in purchasing and procurement with 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external clients.
  • Organizational skills, with a high level of attention to detail and consistency.
  • Strong computer proficiency with analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions that are guided by policies, procedures, and business structure.
  • Ability to work onsite from our facility located at 9901 Silicon Prairie Parkway in Verona, WI.
