Title: Purchasing Associate

Position Description:

The Purchasing Associate plays a critical role in managing the procurement process to ensure that the organization acquires goods and services efficiently and cost-effectively. This position is responsible for coordinating with suppliers, evaluating purchase orders, and maintaining accurate records to support operational needs. The Purchasing Associate works closely with internal departments to understand their requirements and source the best products while adhering to budgetary constraints. By negotiating terms and monitoring supplier performance, this role helps maintain strong vendor relationships and ensures timely delivery of materials. Ultimately, the Purchasing Associate contributes to the smooth functioning of the supply chain, supporting the organization's overall productivity and financial health.

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and confirm delivery schedules.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand purchasing needs and provide timely procurement solutions.
  • Maintain and update procurement records, including vendor information and purchase documentation.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to order discrepancies or delays.
  • Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and coordinating replenishment as needed.

Requirements:
