Key Performance Indicators / Duties & Responsibilities

Procurement & Strategic Sourcing

  • Manage the complete procurement process from RFQ through purchase order closure.
  • Source aircraft parts, consumables, expendables, rotables, tooling and general materials.
  • Evaluate supplier quotations based on price, availability, lead time, quality and commercial risk.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, warranties and delivery schedules.
  • Identify alternate suppliers and support strategic sourcing initiatives.

Supplier Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with approved suppliers.
  • Resolve supplier issues, warranty claims, and purchase order discrepancies.
  • Support long-term supplier agreements and continuous improvement initiatives.

Inventory & Operations Support

  • Support stock replenishment and operational purchasing requirements for all Avmax divisions.
  • Expedite critical and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) orders to minimize aircraft downtime and support MRO operations.
  • Coordinate and support MRO, warehouse, repair, sales and other Avmax bases (including international operations, such as Chad).
  • Provide accurate delivery updates to internal stakeholders.

Systems & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate purchasing information in Quantum ERP.
  • Ensure compliance with company purchasing procedures as per Avmax General Procedures Manual (GPM).
  • Ensure appropriate documentation to meet QA requirements for internal and external stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement

  • Continuously identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality, delivery, and service standards.
  • Support process improvements that increase efficiency and supplier performance.
  • Participate in major procurement and inventory projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, Aviation or related field preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and commercial decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel required).
  • Experience with ERP systems (Quantum preferred).
  • Knowledge of aircraft parts, aviation documentation and supply chain processes is considered an asset.

Experience

  • 2–4 years of purchasing or procurement experience.
  • Aviation, aerospace, manufacturing or industrial procurement experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage purchase orders, supplier relationships and procurement priorities.
  • Proven experience negotiating pricing and delivery schedules.
