Interns typically assist with the development, administration, and analysis of psychological tests and assessments. They work under the supervision of experienced psychometricians, often contributing to research projects, data analysis, and test validation studies. What types of projects and assessments might I work on during a psychometric internship?

During a psychometric internship, you'll typically assist with the development, administration, and analysis of psychological assessments and measurement tools. This may involve helping to design surveys, scoring tests, conducting reliability and validity studies, and preparing reports under the supervision of experienced psychometricians. Interns often collaborate with psychologists, data analysts, and educational professionals, gaining hands-on experience in both research and applied settings. These projects provide valuable insights into test construction, data interpretation, and ethical considerations in assessment.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Psychometric Intern, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Psychometric Intern, you need a solid background in psychology or related fields, statistical analysis, and test development, often supported by ongoing graduate-level study.
