Job Title: Psychometric Rater/ Clinical – Houston, Texas

Engagement Type: W2 Employee, Rolling 1-Year Contract

Location: Houston, Texas (on-site)

Schedule: Tuesday & Wednesday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (16 hours per week)

Duration: 1-year rolling contract, with potential to expand to full-time within 1–2 years


Overview

We are currently partnered with a site in Houston, Texas that is seeking a Psychometric Rater to support an expanding portfolio of psychiatry studies. The role focuses on administering psychometric rating scales and supporting structured clinical assessments. This is a PRN position with a fixed weekly schedule (Tuesdays and Wednesdays), reflecting the site's current patient visit days. A structured training programme is available for the right candidate.


Key Responsibilities

  • Administer standardized psychometric and psychiatric rating scales accurately and consistently in line with study protocol
  • Conduct structured clinical interviews and assessments with study participants
  • Maintain inter-rater reliability and adhere to scoring guidelines
  • Document ratings and findings in accordance with GCP and study-specific requirements
  • Liaise with the site's clinical and research team, including the consulting psychiatrist and PI, to coordinate scheduling and assessment timelines
  • Ensure participant comfort and confidentiality throughout the rating process


Candidate Requirements

  • Master's level or higher qualification in Psychiatry or Psychology, OR active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
  • Background in psychiatric/mental health practice strongly preferred
  • Prior experience with psychometric or psychiatric rating scales (e.g., HAM-D, PANSS, MADRS, YMRS or similar) highly desirable; candidates without direct scale experience will be considered for the site's training programme
  • Able to commit reliably to Tuesday/Wednesday on-site schedule
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency in scoring/documentation
  • Based in or able to reliably commute to Houston, TX
