Summary of Job Duties:The Sam M. Walton College of Business is seeking a detail-oriented, motivated, and organized Development Assistant to support the school's fundraising efforts. This position plays a key administrative and operational role in engaging donors, alumni, and corporate partners, and contributes directly to the school's fundraising goals and advancement initiatives by providing critical administrative and logistical support to ensure smooth operation of fundraising campaigns, donor communications, events, and database management.
Standard office hours with occasional evening or weekend work required for events.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

  • Three years' experience working in an office environment that includes creating and producing executive-level documents and/or marketing/communication materials

Applicable equivalencies may be considered on the above qualifications.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Demonstrated dedication and understanding of fundraising/philanthropy through professional and/or volunteer work

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in fundraising, advancement, or alumni relations - especially in a university or educational setting

  • Familiarity a CRM or donor management system such as Affiniquest, Salesforce and/or EverTrue

  • Experience with donor relations

  • Experience with design software such as Canva or InDesign

  • Graduate of the University of Arkansas - Fayetteville


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy
