General Description:

We are seeking a Practice Development Assistant to join our team to provide business development and marketing support to the firm's Marketing Department and assigned Section/Practice Group. This role assists with event management, marketing projects, the preparation of practice development and collateral materials, and the ongoing maintenance of the firm's attorney biographies and other related practice development information. The position supports internal and external communications, publications, and surveys. The Practice Development Assistant will play a key role in supporting the firm's Regulatory practices by contributing to the development of practicespecific materials, coordinating Regulatoryfocused events, and helping ensure that content showcasing the group's work remains accurate, current, and strategically aligned with business development goals.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist with the execution of marketing and business development strategies, projects, and events, including tracking and follow-up of specific efforts.
  • Provide assistance with marketing and business development initiatives, as delegated.
  • Schedule and coordinate events such as networking receptions, seminars, webinars, and client meetings
  • Support research projects focusing on market trends, relevant conferences, and client insights.
  • Special projects and duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Exceptional communication, organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills are essential. Familiarity with AP Style Manual is a plus.
  • Professionalism, flexibility, and advanced capability in MS Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment is essential, as is the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Strong attention to detail with high level of accuracy in data entry.

Required Qualifications & Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline
  • 1-3 years of experience.
  • Experience with web-based database resources.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Relevant experience in a law firm or professional services organization, preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Moderate or advanced keyboard usage.

This position may be filled in District of Columbia. The base salary ranges for this position are listed below. These ranges may not be applicable to other locations. An individual's actual compensation will depend on the individual's qualifications and experience. In addition to the base compensation, Holland & Knight provides bonus opportunities and an exceptional benefits package.
