Job description

Project Manager

B&G Construction is seeking a Project Manager with 5+ years of experience in the construction industry. This position requires someone with outstanding organizational, communication, and leadership skills, and ability to run projects through systems. The main responsibility will be to oversee and administer multiple projects from start to finish.

B&G Construction is a locally owned small business serving the residential and commercial needs of Northern Virginia. We have a Virginia Class A Contractor license. Our services include new construction, whole home improvements, kitchen and bathroom remodels, decks, screened-in porches, pavilions, commercial renovations, and additions.

Key Responsibilities

· Act as the representative on current and future construction projects

· Provide effective management of the construction of the project(s); delivered on time and on budget according to the project plan and financial expectations

· Supervise and coordinate sub-trades, construction management partners, and consultants

· Create and manage project plans that align with scope, time, cost, quality, and resources

· Identify and mitigate risks to project(s), proactively manage and escalate as required

· Be able to create project schedules, construction drawings, review contracts, and price projects where applicable.

· Consult with clients on all aspects of the project(s)

· Manage and track company KPI’S including Assist with budget tracking and expense reporting

· Work through systems, CRM, and help refine company policies and procedures.

· Assist with project development

· Small repairs, punchout work

· Pick up trash/Clean job sites

Skills and Qualifications

· Ability to lead a team by being a good and effective communicator

· Excellence in building rapport and creating a team environment where all those with project responsibilities work well together

· Ability to maintain a high level of organization by ensuring daily job allocation

· Excellence in planning how each process should be done, how resources are to be acquired, and when the project should be completed

· Ability to determine potential risks while devising proactive ways to solve them

· Excellence in the budgeting of financial resources

· Ability to welcome feedback and use it to improve the quality of production

· Excellence in verbal and oral communication skills

· Knowledgeable about residential construction and construction laws and regulations

· Strong ability to review and understand building/architectural plans/designs

· Plus, if you have knowledge of a CRM such as Builder Trend.

Requirements

· 5+ years of experience as Project Manager

· A valid driver’s license

· Be able to travel within Northern Virginia

· Be proficient with a computer

· Understand construction processes and procedures

Job Type: Full-time
