Position Summary:

PT Associate College Reach Out Program

  • Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and
  • Three years of prior-related work experience.
  • The position requires at least a High School diploma orGEDequivalent if substituting experience for education.
  • Job Description:
  • This position provides academic instruction in Core academic areas (Mathematics, English, Reading and Science) to Middle School and High School students for a state legislated grant program.
  • Prefer applicants with:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Science or English or
    Professional experience in the related field of study.
  • Supplemental Job Information:
  • This applicant pool will be used to fill future vacancies as they occur.
  • This is a state-funded part-time grant position that will not exceed 29 working hours per week.
  • The supervisor will establish the work schedule upon hiring.
  • The position will be responsible for:
  • (1) providing instruction to middle school or high school students,
  • (2) developing lesson plans,
  • (3) managing students in a classroom setting,
  • (4) planning and developing group projects for students,
  • (5) chaperoning student on field trips and
  • (6) meeting and speaking with parents. Instruction will be provided at the Brandon and Ybor City campuses.
  • Additional Documents Required:
  • If the applicant is not substituting prior-related work experience for the educational requirement of an awarded Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited educational institution, must attach a copy of their diploma or transcript at the time of application.
  • In addition, applicants must submit a resume at the time of application.
