JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:

Plans, executes, and monitors releases according to project/release timelines to include coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver releases according to plan. Defines the release objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. Provides proper reporting to management and executive forums. Establishes and manages effective change processes for user requested technology changes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary Duties:

  • Works with various team members and leadership to identify cross-project dependencies related to implementation planning and execution of projects within the Enterprise Release structure.
  • Collaborates with the Test and Quality Team and other responsible IT members on scheduling of the available test environments to facilitate ongoing activity and quality of execution.
  • Directs the preparation of documentation to support planning and execution of the Enterprise Release schedule.
  • Works with the Enterprise Project Office to develop and maintain an ongoing Enterprise Release calendar of events
  • Leads the development of detailed implementation schedules, any necessary communication, and reporting deliverables associated with Enterprise Release executions.

Additional Duties:

  • Leads the preparation of documentation to support planning and execution of the Enterprise Release schedule.
  • Supervises the release team in their day to day function, work prioritization, availability, and performance.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains the governance structure for Enterprise Release Management within Strategic Services - Implementation Planning.
  • Provides guidance and venues for facilitation of information across cross-functional team members to ensure involvement in implementation planning for projects within the Enterprise Release structure.
  • Escalates project schedule variances or other issues to management.
  • Seeks continuous improvement in departmental processes and tools in the interest of efficiency, quality, and effectiveness.
  • Represents the bank in civic, community, and industry activities as required.
  • Performs other related job duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Incumbent is required to comply will all applicable federal, state and local banking and industry related laws and regulations including but not limited to the bank Secrecy Act.
  • Incumbent is responsible for organizational integrity and business ethics as it relates to this position, and communicating this commitment to any applicable subordinates.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages employees in the Strategic Services - Implementation Management Department; Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:

  • College Degree in a financial, business or systems field of study or equivalent experience
  • 3 to 5 years of banking or business systems experience
  • 5 years of experience as a project manager is preferred
  • Superior knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
  • An understanding of strategy and tactical views and planning processes
  • Corporate, Division, and departmental level change management capabilities
  • Ability to establish alliances with other departments and organizations
  • Proficient Microsoft Professional Office experience including Word, Access, Excel, Project management tools, and other related software
  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division an "undue hardship" then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
