We are currently in search of a Program Assistant for a Workforce Development Organization. The position is on-site in the Bronx, NY. This is a full-time, temporary-to-permanent position.
ORGANIZATION TYPE: Workforce Development Organization
LOCATION: Bronx, NY (Hunt's Point)
POSITION TITLE: Program Assistant
SCHEDULE: 40 hours/week
DURATION: Temporary to Permanent
HOURLY RATE: $24.00

A socially conscious company is seeking a Program Assistant to provide outreach and administrative support for a career services program that helps low-income and underserved job seekers obtain employment. The ideal candidate has administrative experience, enjoys working with diverse groups of people, and is a self-starter looking to play a proactive role in helping youth discover their strengths and take actionable steps towards career development. This role is temporary to permanent, with an anticipated salary of $45-$50k for the permanent role, after a 4-month temp period.
Our Ideal Candidate:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree required
โ€ข 6+ months of administrative support experience
โ€ข Proficient with MS Office Suite required
โ€ข Able to travel to both the Bronx Office
โ€ข Experience serving individuals from disadvantaged or underserved backgrounds a plus
How You Will Spend Your Day:
โ€ข Perform administrative tasks using systems like Outlook, SharePoint, and Salesforce
โ€ข Make outreach calls to participants and answer program-related questions
โ€ข Scan and upload documents to client files
โ€ข Manage and route incoming phone calls
โ€ข Support presentations in person and via Microsoft Teams
โ€ข Assist with client mailings
โ€ข Maintain case notes, attendance records, and submit reports on time
โ€ข Promote a professional, inclusive environment and support clients in securing employment
