Pricing Managerย Role Summary:
Decker Truck Line, Inc. has an opportunityย available for a self-motivated and tech-savvyย individual to join our team at our West Des Moines office as aย Pricing Manager. This role has ownership of executing the successful Pricing of our Fleet Network. Main accountabilities will be owning the process from RFI, RFP and bid submission and any follow up required, for all service offerings. Continual analysis of performance compared to the market and implementing price adjustments as the market dictates. The Pricing Manager will collaborate frequently with the Business Development Team to review new opportunities and ensure existing business is meeting financial expectations. Must have large scale pricing execution includingย RFP management experience.
Pricing Managerย Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Understanding all pricing programs and ensuringย their accurate, consistent implementation
  • Designingย and performingย timely price analysis
  • Troubleshooting pricing anomalies and inconsistencies
  • Conducting financial analysis to assess the impact of pricing changes
  • Collaboratingย with Sales and Marketing teams to align pricing strategies with business objectives
  • Preparingย analysis for discretionarily-priced customers and analysis of current contract customers to suggest pricing strategies
  • Training and supporting Sales teams on pricing policies and strategies
  • Maintainingย current knowledge of relevant pricing procedures and practices
  • Ensuringย compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to pricing
  • Confirming pricing is within thresholds set by KSM, DAT and other industry benchmarks
  • Managingย pricing communication and implementation of new price changes by ensuring legal documents are updated to reflect new price changes
  • Preparingย comprehensive reports on pricing strategies and performance metrics
  • Anticipatingย potential pricing evolutions in the market leveraging Market Insight analysis and industry benchmarks
  • Other duties as assigned


Pricing Managerย Experience, Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management and/or Finance
  • Three years' minimum experience in a directly related position. End to end supply chain experience/knowledge of trucking industry is highly preferred
  • Strong experience in dedicated pricing models is highly preferred
  • Experience with pricing software and analytical tools
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and competitive analysis
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • KSM/Freight Math, Freight Science or similar optimization tools a plus
