Job description

Weber Logistics is seeking a hands-on Director of Pricing to lead pricing development and support profitable growth across warehousing, transportation, fulfillment, and value-added logistics services. This role is ideal for a pricing professional who not only sets strategy but also personally develops pricing models, analyzes costs, and supports customer opportunities in a lean, fast-paced environment.

The Director will partner closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Solutions teams to deliver accurate, competitive, and profitable customer solutions while driving pricing discipline across the organization. The successful candidate will be expected to build financial models, challenge assumptions, analyze operational costs, and actively support customer pursuits. While leadership, influence, and strategic thinking are critical, success will come from being a hands-on pricing professional who can move seamlessly from executive discussions to detailed modeling in support of Weber Logistics' growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pricing & Deal Support
    • Lead pricing efforts for RFPs, RFQs, new business opportunities, contract renewals, and strategic customer pursuits with timely and high-quality rate proposals.
    • Build detailed pricing and cost models for warehousing, transportation, fulfillment, and integrated logistics solutions.
    • Perform financial modeling, scenario analysis, and profitability assessments to support commercial decision-making.
    • Partner with Sales and Operations to develop customer proposals that balance competitiveness, operational feasibility, and profitability.
    • Support customer negotiations and provide financial guidance on complex opportunities.
    • Drive profitable revenue growth and improved win rates through effective pricing strategies, competitive proposal development, and disciplined deal evaluation.
  • Financial Modeling & Analytics
    • Develop and maintain detailed pricing models covering labor, transportation, occupancy, equipment, technology, and overhead expenses.
    • Analyze customer and opportunity profitability and identify margin improvement opportunities.
    • Evaluate the financial impact of different scenarios, pricing concessions, investment decisions, and contract structures.
    • Monitor pricing model performance, validate results against actual outcomes, and recommend adjustments based on changing cost and market conditions.
    • Create reporting and dashboards to support pricing decisions and business performance.
    • Track and communicate key pricing metrics, including proposal profitability, margin performance, pricing accuracy, and revenue contribution.
  • Pricing Strategy & Governance
    • Establish and maintain standardized pricing methodologies, tools, templates, and approval processes across transportation and warehousing services to improve scalability and decision-making.
    • Drive disciplined pricing practices to minimize margin leakage and improve profitability.
    • Develop executive-level pricing summaries and business cases that support efficient leadership review and approvals.
    • Implement governance around key pricing assumptions, including labor rates, productivity, transportation costs, and overhead allocations.
    • Support annual rate reviews, repricing initiatives, and contract management efforts.
    • Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitive dynamics to maintain market-relevant pricing strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
    • Collaborate with Operations to validate assumptions and align pricing with operational realities.
    • Partner with Finance on cost assumptions, profitability analysis, and deal review processes.
    • Serve as the primary owner of pricing models, assumptions, financial outputs, and proposal economics.
    • Establish clear accountability and structured workflows across Business Development, Operations, Finance, and Solutions teams.
    • Lead recurring pricing reviews and approval forums to improve transparency, consistency, and speed of decision-making.
RequirementsQualifications
  • Experience
    • 7+ years of experience in pricing, finance, logistics, supply chain, commercial strategy, or related fields.
    • Strong experience within a 3PL, transportation, warehousing, fulfillment, or distribution environment.
    • Proven success supporting complex customer opportunities, contract negotiations, and large-scale RFPs.
    • Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, pricing strategy, and profitability analysis.
    • Experience partnering directly with Sales, Operations, and Finance organizations.
    • Experience implementing pricing tools, analytics platforms, process improvements, or pricing governance initiatives.
  • Skills & Competencies
    • Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills.
    • Deep understanding of logistics cost drivers, cost accounting, contribution margin, and operating margin analysis.
    • Experience with RFPs, RFQs, proposal development, and contract pricing.
    • Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to translate complex operational requirements into scalable and profitable pricing solutions and financial models.
    • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast paced and lean organization.
    • Experience with BI tools, data analytics platforms, WMS, TMS, or related logistics systems preferred.
  • Leadership Attributes
    • Hands-on, player-coach leadership style.
    • Strong business judgment with the ability to balance growth, profitability, and risk.
    • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive organizational alignment.
    • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency, consistency, and execution.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related field.
