Job Overview
The Assistant, Pricing Strategy supports the development and execution of pricing strategies and priorities across multiple business areas, including both stores and digital channels. They partner closely with the Director of Pricing to align pricing strategies, analyze business performance, and deliver insights that drive profitable growth and support key business objectives.
They collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional partners within their assigned area to ensure pricing decisions are informed, effective, and aligned with organizational goals. They build trusted relationships with merchants at all levels, as well as members of the Pricing Strategy team, while partnering with Marketing, Financial Planning, Technology, and Stores to support a cohesive and consistent pricing approach.
They identify opportunities to drive sales, improve margin performance, and inform future pricing strategies through data-driven analysis and business insights. They also champion process improvements that enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of pricing operations and merchant-facing activities, contributing to broader business growth and operational excellence.
What You Will Do
  • Utilize data analytics to generate actionable insights that inform pricing decisions.

  • Provide guidance on pricing strategy, including customer-facing messaging, price point optimization, discount structure recommendations, and coupon inclusions or exclusions.

  • Evaluate actual performance against forecasted results to measure pricing effectiveness and recommend adjustments as needed.

  • Support event architecture planning by providing insights on price clarity, promotional breadth, depth, and penetration strategies.

  • Partner with merchant teams to analyze competitive pricing and assess current and future market positioning.

  • Develop a strong understanding of execution through regular store visits, floor walks, and collaboration with store teams.

  • Support the development and adoption of dynamic pricing capabilities to improve utilization and strengthen pricing recommendations.

  • Identify and communicate process improvement opportunities that enhance current and future pricing workflows.

  • Monitor seasonal selling performance through C-1 reviews and provide pricing recommendations that support profitable product life cycles.

  • Analyze business performance by channel and merchandise bucket, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.

  • Track inventory productivity and currency, identifying opportunities to improve sell-through and profitability.

  • Demonstrate consistent attendance, dependability, and punctuality in fulfilling job responsibilities.

  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.

Who You Are
  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. 1-plus years of experience required.
