Job description

We are seeking a strong, field-driven Project Superintendent to lead municipal renovation projects across the Chicagoland area. This role is ideal for a construction leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands public-sector project requirements, and has experience managing summer-critical renovations with compressed schedules.

The Project Superintendent will oversee day-to-day field operations, coordinate subcontractors, maintain safety and quality standards, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all on-site construction operations from project start to completion

  • Coordinate subcontractors, inspections, and field teams to ensure project progress

  • Manage accelerated summer renovation schedules and meet strict deadlines

  • Maintain jobsite safety standards and compliance

  • Ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications

  • Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders

  • Maintain organized documentation and daily site reporting

  • Provide leadership and direction to field personnel and subcontractors

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent

  • Experience with municipal or public-sector renovation projects

  • Strong scheduling, coordination, and field management skills

  • Experience working in phased or occupied facilities

  • Ability to lead teams and maintain accountability on job sites

Additional Requirements

  • 3+ years of construction experience

  • 5+ years of project management experience

  • Ability to commute to project sites within the Chicagoland area

  • Proven experience delivering summer-critical restoration or renovation projects with compressed schedules

  • School renovation project experience strongly preferred
