This role is responsible for driving the company's strategic direction, ensuring that it remains competitive and adaptable in a rapidly changing business landscape. The role develops strategic recommendations by overseeing synthesis of data, conduction of in-depth analysis, and rigorous testing of hypotheses, ensuring well-informed strategic choices. The role works with large, cross-functional teams to facilitate projects and collaborates across businesses to align strategy with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
The primary purpose of this senior program manager role is to help define the work plan and lead the ongoing execution of a central pillar, Public Sector Security, of our overall HP Global Public Sector COE. This role will be responsible for managing a broad set of stakeholder relationships to collect, prioritize and create aligned PORs to deliver required innovation / capabilities to target markets around the world relating to both Secure Supply Chain and Cybersecurity solutions.
This seasoned program manager will orchestrate a disciplined cadence between the GBU, Category and Market/Country teams with a relentless focus on ensuring that Public Sector Security remains a sustained design center for HP. The successful candidate will accelerate segment business outcomes and customer impact.
Specific areas of focus will be: 1) take a data-driven approach to market requirement portfolio management (e.g., prioritized and tiered requirements, BU focus areas, business case development, etc.). 2) drive a disciplined and agile global cadence to accelerate impact via COE PMO. 3) Ensure best practices are extracted from all markets and deployed. Additional job duties will be defined as initiative evolves over time.
This role will work day to day with the COE PMO leads and will report directly to the PMO leader.
As a member of HP Federal, the successful candidate must be a US citizen.

• Structures analytical approaches and develops project strategies and tactics.
• Develops recommendations for optimizing business and financial performance.
• Manages large, cross-functional teams and communications to facilitate projects and ensure timely delivery to clients.
• Leads the development of project guidelines, contingency plans, objectives, and deliverables to drive successful outcomes.
• Consults with business executives on a wide range of issues related to the strategy formulation process, including risk management and new growth opportunities.
• Provides thought leadership and contributes to expanding the knowledge base within area of expertise which includes developing new methods, techniques and criteria for developing strategy analysis and recommendations.
• Collaborates across businesses, functions, and regions to align strategy and direction with corporate and divisional approaches, systems, information and support.
• Leverages strategic and management consulting frameworks to implement a comprehensive portfolio approach for evaluating and managing the organization's diverse business units, platforms, and products.
• Facilitates regular follow-ups on strategic planning to foster collaboration and ensure accountability.
Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in strategic management, strategic planning and implementation, consulting, market research, or a related field.
• Experience with Public Sector segment preferred. Ideally, the successful candidate will have global experience with exposure to the public sector segment in both US and other markets around the world.
