Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Pre-Sales Engineering Supervisor to join our shared services. The Presales Engineering Supervisoris responsible forleading a team of Estimators and Solution Architects dedicated to supporting the sales process by designing effective electronic security solutions tailored to customer requirements. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Engineering Security, this role requires a blend of technical knowledge, leadership capabilities, strategic insight, and customer-facing experience. The ideal candidate will ensure the presales engineering team efficientlydeliversaccurateestimations, compelling technical proposals, and innovative security designs that position the company as a trusted industry leader.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team consisting of Estimators and Solution Architects.
  • Set clear performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide ongoing coaching and professional development.
  • Lead the development and delivery ofaccurateand comprehensive electronic security solutions (Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intrusion Detection, Integrated Systems, etc.) aligned with customer needs and technical requirements.
  • Oversee and ensure high-quality technical documentation and solution presentations for customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales teams to support customer engagements, clearly communicating technical capabilities and aligning solutions to customerobjectives.
  • Participate in customer-facing meetings, presentations, and demonstrations asrequiredtorepresentengineering capabilities and build client confidence.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance presales estimation and solution development processes for efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging security technologies to inform presales strategies.
  • Act as a critical liaison between Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Project Management, and Operations teams to ensure seamless execution from presales through project handoff and delivery.
  • Foster a collaborative working relationship between technical and sales staff to improve overall sales effectiveness.
  • Ensure solutions proposed by the team complywith industry standards, regulations, and best practices for security and safety.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in presales engineering, solutions architecture, or systems estimation, within electronic security.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or team lead role, with a proven ability to mentor, develop, and lead technical teams effectively.
  • Strong understanding of electronic security systems including access control, CCTV/video surveillance, intrusion detection, and integrated security solutions.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with sales and operations teams to meet customer needs and businessobjectives.
  • Proficiencywith estimation tools, technical design software (AutoCAD, Visio), and relevant CRM platforms.

Preferred Certifications:

  • ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP)
  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP)
  • Vendor-specific certifications (Lenel, Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, Axis, etc.)

Salary Range- The salary range for this position is $XX,XXX–$YY,YYY annually . The starting salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, and internal equity. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
