Mission
As a pre-sales systems engineer (SE) hire candidate will be responsible for customer adoption and success of the Onehouse Managed Lakehouse solution.
 
 
 
 
Responsibilities
  • Candidate will partner alongside field sales counterpart and engineering team to lead the technical aspects of the sales cycle
  • SE responsibilities include communicating product offerings, provide architecture guidance, run proof of value, and provide assistance in migration process
  • SE will provide technical leadership and frame Onehouse in the best light to prospects and customers, to evoke confidence in company’s technology infrastructure, and to remove all technical objections in the sales cycle
Must Haves
  • 2-3 years of experience in pre-sales engineering role.
  • Working knowledge of Big Data Technologies including Hudi, Spark, Trino/Presto, DBT, Kafka, Airflow, Avro, Hadoop.
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in one or more of AWS/GCP/Azure cloud technologies.
  • Experience and knowledge in cloud native services such as Amazon EMR, Amazon Redshift, Amazon Kinesis, AWS Glue, Google BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure HDInsight, etc.
  • Comprehensive understanding of data warehousing, data lake, data pipelines/ETL, and analytics design patterns.
  • Strong communication skills in explaining technical architecture.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience implementing information technology solutions
  • Solutions-focused approach that requires in-depth needs analysis (discovery)
  • Willingness to travel to customers as needed
  • Desire to work in fast-paced startup environment where change is constant

Competitive Compensation; the estimated base salary range for this role is  $180,000 - $210,000
