Job description

Seeking a Per Diem Medical Receptionist to work in BCHP's Pediatric Neurology Office in Hawthorne, NY. Schedule will be approx. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Pay range of $19/hr-$21/hr. Organizational Duties and Responsibilities Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of Boston Children's Health Physicians in its -efforts to provide quality service and patient satisfaction Demonstrate continuing education by completing all required annual trainings, as stated in the - Training Curriculum, including but not limited to care coordination, population health management and self-management support techniques. Complete annual corporate compliance training Understand and effectively communicate HIPAA compliance, corporate compliance and client confidentiality Ensure and/or remain in compliance with local, state and federal regulation Essential Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities Office responsibilities Verify all patient and family demographics Verify all insurance information Check the online pre-visit registration through the Phreesia program, adding and/or correcting any information in the patient database.

Follow-up on any positive responses in the Coronavirus screening through Phreesia Phreesia should also be checked at the end of the day to prepare for the next day's visits. Incomplete registration and positive screenings should be dealt with at that time. Checking the online payment of balances and copayments, and assisting parents in making these payments at the time of the visit if not done prior to the visit Assisting new patients in completing the registration forms Updating all information in the patient's electronic record, including removing an Alerts that no longer apply Assist patients in obtaining access to the Patient Portal for each child in the family Manage referrals to specialists and insurance inquiries.

Make appointments for future visits for patients as they exit.
