Payroll Coordinator

We're seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to support payroll administration, employee data management, onboarding, and compliance initiatives. This role partners closely with payroll, HR, and operations to ensure accurate employee records, timely payroll processing, and adherence to employment regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Support weekly payroll processing by maintaining employee records, pay changes, tax updates, benefit enrollments, retirement plan changes, and other payroll-related transactions.
  • Maintain and audit employee data within the HRIS/payroll system to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Process employee status changes including new hires, promotions, transfers, and separations.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, including new hire paperwork, system updates, employment verification, and compliance documentation.
  • Maintain payroll and HR reports, audit employee records, and assist with payroll reconciliations.
  • Support leave administration, workers' compensation documentation, unemployment requests, and other employment-related processes.
  • Assist with benefits administration and coordinate payroll-related vendor communications.
  • Maintain employee files and ensure confidential information is accurate, organized, and up to date.
  • Prepare and submit employment compliance reports and assist with regulatory filings, audits, and workforce reporting requirements.
  • Partner with internal teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and help streamline payroll and HR workflows.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR and payroll functions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of payroll, HR, or HRIS administration experience.
  • Experience supporting payroll processing and maintaining employee records.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll compliance and employment documentation.
  • Experience working within an HRIS/payroll system.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential information.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
