Some rewards for joining our team:
  • Free YMCA membership - access to all branches!
  • Flexible work schedule
  • Sweet discounts on child care and summer camp programs
  • Planning for your future? Ask us how we do it at the Y - it's awesome!

What is needed for this job as our Payroll Coordinator:
  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Two or more years of experience in payroll, accounting, human resources, or related administrative operations
  • Experience processing payroll and maintaining employee records within an HRIS
  • Experience with Dayforce, ADP, or similar HRIS/payroll systems preferred
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve payroll or data discrepancies
  • Ability to handle confidential payroll and employee information appropriately

The responsibilities we will trust you with as our Payroll Coordinator:
  • Coordinate and process bi-weekly payroll, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time
  • Review payroll and timekeeping data to identify and resolve missing punches, overtime, pay exceptions, and other discrepancies
  • Process new hires, rehires, position and pay changes, employee separations, and other employee lifecycle transactions
  • Maintain accurate employee information, including direct deposit, tax withholding, employment status, and other payroll-related records
  • Partner with Human Resources to ensure required onboarding documentation is complete and employee information is ready for payroll
  • Audit payroll, timekeeping, and employee records to maintain data accuracy and compliance
  • Process final pay, payroll adjustments, accrued entitlement payouts, and related separation transactions
  • Provide payroll, timekeeping, and HRIS guidance and support to managers throughout the organization
  • Partner with Human Resources, Finance, and operational leadership to resolve issues and improve payroll and HRIS processes
  • Support payroll reporting, record retention, compliance documentation, and the continued improvement of payroll procedures

What you can expect:
  • A role that combines hands-on payroll processing with broader HRIS and employee administration responsibilities
  • The opportunity to develop the knowledge and experience to independently manage the payroll process when needed
  • Regular collaboration with Human Resources, Finance, managers, and operational leaders across the organization
