Job description

M.H. Bread And Butter in San Anselmo, CA is looking for Pastry Baker to join our hard working team. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, passionate, creative, team oriented and reliable. This is a part-time position with the potential of becoming full-time. This position is from 6 am to 2 pm Friday to Sunday. We are also open to cross train if interested in other aspects of baking like croissant lamination, enriched doughs, puff pastry, bread, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of baked goods according to recipes and bakery standards which include but are not limited to:
  • Cakes, Specialty Cookies, Bars, Buttercream, Jams, Mousses, Marshmallows, etc.
  • Mix, bake and build cakes
  • Fulfill special cake orders when needed
  • Assist Morning Bakers in pre opening duties such as restocking our packaged items, prepping fruit tarts, filling/ dipping eclairs, and other seasonal items.
  • Packaging cookies

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift, move and carry up to 50 lbs.

  • ServeSafe Certified/Food Handlers
  • Attention to Detail
  • Punctual
  • 1 year food service or baking experience strongly preferred, but will train the right candidate.
