Job description

Billy’s Marketplace is looking for a reliable and motivated Baker to join our team.

This position does not require extensive professional baking experience. Our bakery primarily works with par-baked and ready-to-bake breads, rolls, pastries, and other supermarket bakery items. We are looking for someone with some bakery, kitchen, or food-service experience who is comfortable learning our procedures and maintaining consistent quality.

Responsibilities:

● Bake and finish par-baked breads, rolls, pastries, and other bakery products

● Follow proper baking times, temperatures, and preparation instructions

● Prepare products for the sales floor and keep displays stocked and fresh

● Package and label bakery products as needed

● Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bakery work area

● Follow food-safety and store procedures

● Monitor product quality and freshness

Qualifications:

● Some previous bakery, kitchen, supermarket, or food-service experience preferred

● Professional baker or pastry-chef experience is not required

● Reliable and punctual

● Able to work independently and stay organized

● Comfortable working with commercial ovens and bakery equipment

● Able to stand for extended periods and perform normal lifting associated with bakery work
